Restoring Broken Bonds: Healing Relationship Betrayals with Emotionally Focused Therapy
Our spring speciality training for 2026 is “Restoring Broken Bonds: Healing Relationship Betrayals with EFT”. Join us in Bloomington, MN across from the Mall of America for this two-day training on April 30th and May 1st, 2026. The training will run 9:00 am - 4:30 pm each day. Basic Externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy
The 2026 Externship will take place September 16-19, 2026 in Roseville, MN.

This four-day intensive is intended to give you the knowledge and basic skills for using EFT with your clients. It is also the first step in becoming certified as an EFT therapist. The 24–hour externship focuses on a review of the theory and practice of EFT as well as the application, demonstration, and practical exercises. This externship is officially offered in conjunction with the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). This externship fulfills the initial externship requirement for certification in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and we will apply for 24 hours of continuing education by the MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.
A new Core Skills series starts every fall and runs into early spring, covering 8 days spread out over 4 weekends (Friday/Saturdays). Watch our website for the 2026-2027 series dates which are usually determine in the spring.

This advanced training in the practice of EFT consists of four 2-day sessions spread out over the course of a year. One must have completed the Basic Externship to participate. A new group forms in the fall each year. Registration is limited to roughly 16 participants. You can pay for each weekend separately over the year but are expected to commit to attending all four weekends.

Fully licensed Therapists - $450 per weekend
Pre-licensed - $400 per weekend
Students/Interns - $350 per weekend
10% discount if you pay for them all at once
Scholarships available for BIPOC/global majority and LGBTQ2IA+ therapists and those who work with these populations.
This training will apply for 48 hours of continuing education from the MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.
